Have you ever taught of the importance of the speedometer?

The dashboard instrument cluster in your car
organizes a variety of sensors and gauges,
including the oil pressure gauge, coolant
temperature gauge, fuel level gauge,
tachometer and more. But the most prominent
gauge — and perhaps the most important, at
least in terms of how many times you look at it
while you’re driving — is the speedometer.

The job of the speedometer is to indicate the
speed of your car in miles per hour, kilometers
per hour or both. Even in late-model cars, it’s
an analog device that uses a needle to point to
a specific speed, which the driver reads as a
number printed on a dial.

According the research bitownent.Wordpress.com conducted, over 80% of the passenger cars in Ghana have faulty or unfunctional speedometers’. So now the question is ;

1.How do they measure the speed they are going?
2. How do they abide by the road sign indicating the speed the driver should be going?

According to the drivers, they don’t have any other means to measure the speed.

We are still on the research to find out what could be done and what should be done to avoid over-speeding which is causing a lot of accidents in our country
